Women’s Self And Society: A Sociological Review For Equality AndEmpowerment

Abstract

Empowering women is one of the most crucial concerns of development. It makes able to women organize themselves, increase their self-reliance and assert their independent right to make choices and control resources. The current study tried to do a systematic review of the literature which explains the growing demand for women's empowerment. So, this study aims to investigate the major determinants of women's empowerment and equality explored by previous studies. The challenges were explained and described by using the connected idea of self. Importantly, it can be said that culture is a key factor to influence women’s empowerment but in many ways, it uses to underestimate the self of a woman in developing societies. The theoretical foundations of this literature review can be used to advance women's interests politically, economically, and socially. This article discusses he issues and realities and urges the government, political leaders, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders to take action to ensure women's overall development to establish a developed society.
